In this session we will explore the fascinating history of the Brazilian Jews from the time of the discovery of the new country to today. We will move from the original Jewish communities of the Northern part of the country to today’s communities in the South, looking at the different waves of Jewish immigration. We will also have a chance to listen to the influence of Brazilian music in Jewish and Israeli music.

This session is made possible by a grant from The Covenant Foundation.
